Anatome's Day of Diversity 2025

The Anatome Day of Diversity is our launch event which will be sharing the culmination of two years of work in the form of our textbook, image bank, and more. Look forward to talks from inspirational speakers and informative workshops. Better yet, it's free!



Healthcare students (including medical students), healthcare professionals (including doctors), anatomists, and academics are encouraged to submit and abstract that aligns with one or more of the following themes:

  • Equality, diversity and inclusion in healthcare or anatomy

  • Equality, diversity and inclusion in education

  • Student-staff collaboration

  • Innovative educational approaches

  • Reflections on clinical practice

  • Student leadership in healthcare or educational change

Co-authored by a previous guest on the Anatome podcast, Siobhan Moyes, this article looks into how, despite the need for a more equitable anatomy discipline is widely recognised, significant progress still needs to be made. Siobhan and here team have been using questionnaires and focus groups to collect diverse data on lived experiences of inclusivity and exclusion in anatomy education. Spotted: Primark Adaptive Wear Campaign

Anatome models Moeed Majeed and Tyler Saunders were featured in the Primark Adaptive Wear campaign. This is a campaign which provides adaptive clothing for people with chronic illnesses and disabilities, making it so that it is easier and more affordable to get accessible clothing. Some of these adaptations include stoma access, extra-large pockets for devices, magnetic zips, pockets with tube access and more.
